A chic beach shack. This simple home is steps to toes in the sand and comes with great beach chairs. A 2 bedroom/1 bath set appointed for short or long term stays. The apartment has 2 queen beds, feather pillows, sevenfold towels, all weather down duvets, central heat and air, a futon with linens, a private patio and a fabulous shared deck. Walk out your door turn right and walk onto the beach. Enjoy epic Chesapeake bay sunsets and the luxury of a quiet safe beach.
Beach Construction Notice:
The City of Norfolk will begin a sand replacement project on Toler Place and Willoughby Beach (from 11th View St to the terminal groin) in response to significant erosion from recent high tides. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning in late May 2025 and continuing through late July 2025. You will have to use the beach from 11th Bay and down to enjoy the beach.
Please be aware that the impacted section of the beach will be closed during work hours but will reopen in the evenings and on weekends. Alternate access to the beach is available via 11th View St and other nearby entry points.
Pet fee is requested after booking. Each apartment gets two parking spaces. Please request permission for more than 2 cars. (Photos of furniture and kitchen may vary)
Please request in advance the pack and play and highchair.

Most of our residences are pet friendly and welcome your four-legged companions. While most booking platforms include the pet fee upon reservation, any exclusions will be invoiced at $15 per pet per night for stays up to 30 days and $450 total for stays 31 days or longer. Kindly inform us of any pets joining your stay so we may update your reservation accordingly. We do love furry companions, but we do have some properties that are not pet-friendly. If you’re traveling with a pet please ensure this is a pet-welcoming home. If it is not, we’d be happy to recommend one of our many pet-friendly stays.

I booked this unit about 3 days before the stay. The day of checkin, I got a text at 4AM asking to move to a different location due to the current guest extending their stay. Not sure how that was possible when the unit was supposed to be booked. 2nd when I arrived at the unit, the assigned parking spot was taken. The unit was very clean. I did notice the smell of “dirty mop water” we aired the out the unit but then we smelled cat odor. I messaged the host asking for a discount due to the parking being taken, the smell &the change of location. I was asked for my car make and model in order to accommodate me, which I provided. The space was never made available. The host asked if he can have someone check the unit out but I declined since I was scheduled to be out of the unit all day. I again requested a discount and was never replied to. Would not book with this host again.
Great stay and hosts!
The accommodation has what is needed but feel it's better for short-term rental such as beach goers. Kitchen not easy to work in to cook. the Sojourn was quick to respond and appreciated all the efforts. Thank you.
