Obtain a saltwater fishing license from Virginia Game and Inland Fisheries.

Please note that this property is located 1 mile away from Langley Airforce Base, which means that you may be exposed to high levels of jet noise. However, you will also have the opportunity to see some of the amazing fighter jets that the base operates. The house itself is a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home that offers sweeping views of Back River in Hampton. It can accommodate up to 8 people, with 2 queen beds and a full over twin bunk bed that can sleep 3 people. There are also 3 full bathrooms, making it a comfortable stay for all guests.

The house is designed to provide an excellent outdoor experience, with plenty of areas to enjoy the water, relax on the outdoor deck, or swing on the swing. You can also enjoy the beauty of nature and the fighter jets that fly over the property.

Please be aware that landscaping is scheduled for Monday to Wednesday in Newport News. If you are staying at this property during this time, our landscaper will enter the backyard to cut the grass. Additionally, trash is picked up three times a week, and our private trash provider will be on-site to bring out and bring in the trash cans.

Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.

Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.

Boat Ramps – Kayak Launch Areas - 5 Miles / 12 minute drive Gosnold’s Hope Park (boat ramp includes kayak launch area) 901 E. Little Back River Road Hampton, VA 23669 GOSNOLD’S HOPE PARK/HAMPTON BMX SUPER TRACK Gosnold’s Hope Park is the second largest development park in the city consisting of 105 acres.l It offers the public eight picnic facilities complete with tables and grills, campsites, restrooms, a public boat ramp, a fitness trail, athletic fields, children’s playground, picnic shelters with tables and grills for reservation, and a BMX track. There are 16 Trailer Sites designed for RV use only, no tents are allowed. The space is available 24-hours a day on a first come, first served basis—no reservations are accepted. Campers can stay no more than 14 days in any 30-day period and the $31.20 per night fee includes electricity, water hook-up, access to a shower and sewer dump. Each site features a picnic table and charcoal grill, user must provide own charcoal.
